How my journey began

Lisa Grinnell MA

I am a licensed psychotherapist in California and Florida, and meet with clients virtually. A little about my background. Leaving Silicon Valley after a career as a marketing consultant and writer, I struck out on a new, values based life path. I began practicing mindfulness, closing my eyes and watching my breath 45 minutes a day. I noticed greater clarity and peace. Curious, I took mindfulness to the limit, practicing many months in silence over a two-year period in the US and Asia. Returning to the US, I taught mindfulness, and specialized in the study of mindfulness, attachment, and the brain for my MA in Counseling. That was 18 years ago. Today I am skilled in major modalities for trauma treatment. Reducing or eliminating symptoms of trauma, anxiety and depression can result in a sense of confidence in one’s own truth, allowing us to let go of the limitations that we mistakenly believe define us. My favorite pastime is assisting people to free themselves of perceived limitations, and to be happier.
